Skógafoss – Fimmvörduháls
Fimmvörðuháls is the area between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. This is one of the most popular hiking routes in Iceland, despite being 22 kilometres long and involving 1,000 metres of climbing. The route from Skógar is particularly beautiful, as numerous waterfalls can be seen along the way. The route is only accessible all the way to Þórsmörk between mid-June and late August, as it is between two majestic glaciers.
